We are so excited to be the Youth Conference co-directors for 2013! We have been planning for this weekend all year long with the help of our cabinet and our coordinator, Laura Armstrong. All of us have been working extremely hard to make this the best weekend ever. Like, ever. We look forward to seeing you all here in April but until then, take some time and get to know our awesome friends that make this weekend such a success!
Hi! My name is Eric and I am a senior Bible major graduating this May. Crazy. I’ve been involved with YC in the past as a small group leader and I absolutely loved it. God has given me a passion for working with high school students so I find great joy in planning this event. This year has been a great learning experience for me and I’m confident that God has big things in store for the weekend! My hope and prayer is that every student walks away from YC with an increased understanding of God’s grace and love!
Hola! I am Katy and I’m a sophomore Elementary Education major. I went to YC 3 times in high school and had a blast! It has been cool to be on the other side of things this year and bring new ideas to the weekend. YC represents a huge growth in my walk with God and I am excited to provide that same opportunity to students this year. My desire is to see students learn about the importance of discipleship through meaningful conversations, encouraging relationships, and intentionally spending time in God’s word.
Hi, I am Annessa, and I am Chris.
We are here to bring you joy, but if you laugh, that is a good by-product of joy.
Also, if you like to have funs, then good luck with us.
We hail from indiana, and together, we shall hopefully bring you hope and joy.
Now for fun rhymes byAnnessa and Chris.
ahem:
Look outside, for today it rains,
But that’s okay, cuz our God reigns,
He made dogs, and birds, but most importantly katz,
Without these furry friends, we would all be driven bats,
Don’t forget to sign up for YC, cuz it’s super fun,
We’ll try to entertain you with puns that are funs,
Finally, one last thing, come closer, get a whiff,
The very most important question: “bro, do you even lift?”
James, Susie, Kristen and Kate…
For your arrival on campus we cannot wait!
Main Session Coordination is what we do.
We are the big picture people–it’s true.
Organizing the large group times is what we provide
Keeping centered on this year’s theme—ABIDE.
The four of us are already having a blast-
Find us in the chapel- come while seats still last!
We are the activities coordinators for Youth Conference this year! We will be planning fun things to do in between sessions. We are so excited to be able to serve you in this way. We have had experience both working at YC before and at camps. So get excited for everything we have planned!
As you can see, we are drinking as much coffee as possible because we are super excited for small groups during Youth Conference!!!! We are Stephanie and Zach, and we are the YC Small Group Coordinators this year. We totally believe that being a part of a small group will be one of the most rewarding (and most fun) parts of Youth Conference. Sooooo get here soon, and get excited for coffee, community, and crazy college students!
Hi, I’m Cara Mastic and I’m a freshman and I’m writing the devotionals with Nick Van Heest, who is a senior. We are looking to create devotionals that center around the theme, Abide. We hope to create some form of devotionals that can be outside the Youth Conference weekend.
Scholarships is where all the fun is at! Just kidding, don’t worry guys, there is more fun to YC than just Scholarships. We do, however, raise money to give high school students an opportunity to come to YC without having to pay full price, and we think that is pretty cool. The more people that have an opportunity to come to YC the better! Our names are Kassi Aalderink and Lynne Sowders, and we are the Scholarships Coordinators for YC 2013! You should be excited for YC because YC is the BEST WEEKEND EVER!
Hey hey hey! We’re Stefi and Nick, and we are this year’s Service Project Coordinators. That means that we get to coordinate the service project (who knew, right?). We’ve been a part of Youth Conference for the past three years and it has been incredible to see God at work among both high school and Taylor students. We’re both so excited to get to be a part of it again this year. The project we are doing will take place on the Saturday and, if you’re coming to YC (which you totally should because it’s AWESOME), that means that YOU will have an opportunity to serve with us! More info to come on exactly what we will be doing, but we can’t wait!
Hey, all! Our names are Cassie and Morgan, and we are beyond thrilled for Youth Conference this year! We are this year’s Registration Coordinators. Our job is to make sure all of your information gets organized in the most efficient way possible to maximize the amount of fun you have at YC. Our faces will be some of the first you see upon your arrival on campus in April, and we hope to bring you fun and joy right off the bat. We are so excited for you all to get here for one of the greatest weekends EVER! Get pumped because I know we are, and we are so excited to meet you all. Until then, keep being awesome, and know that God loves you!
We are Kaelie and Claire and we are the housing committee for Youth Conference 2013! We have been working hard to make sure you all have places to stay when you come to Taylor in April so you do not have to sleep outside! We are so excited for you all to come, and even more excited that you get to stay with some awesome Taylor students!
Greetings we are your set designers, Lynne and Austin. We are both SUPER creative sophomores who have spent the last year (that’s 365 days, count ‘em) slaving over the set for Youth Conference. It is going to be great, trust us, we’re doctors….not really but maybe. Anywho, we are thrilled to be a part of the oldest standing tradition at Taylor and can’t wait for our vision to finally become a reality.
